What work was carried out?
Our drainage engineers attended the site, carrying out high-pressure water jetting to clear the system. This offers a long-term solution to blocked drains.

We conducted CCTV drainage surveys and discovered no structural damage but found heavy rat activity and a hole on the benching of a manhole. Rat flaps were installed to prevent rats from accessing the systems. Our engineers recommended that the benching be broken out and re-cemented to prevent rats from accessing the drains.
Our engineers then re-attended to complete this work to stop any rats from accessing the system in the future. We recommended a follow-up visit in three months to assess the cement works and ensure the drains are in a clear and clean condition.
Were there any challenges?
Initially, a rat hole was discovered, which meant that despite the installation of rat flaps, rats could still enter the system. Our drainage remedial works ensured that rats could no longer gain access.
