Saniflo Toilet Systems
A Saniflo toilet system is a little different to normal toilet systems where waste is sent into an outflow pipe. With a Saniflo toilet, waste is sent into a Saniflo unit instead and is dealt with by a macerating pump. Saniflo toilets are installed when the toilet is in a difficult location and it’s hard to get easy access to a discharge pipe. The macerator pump turns waste into liquid that can easily be discharged through a small pipe over a long distance.
Like other toilets they can get blocked and sometimes more so as children don’t always pay attention to what you can and can’t put in a Saniflo toilet and there are quite strict rules governing this. Dealing with a Saniflo blockage is a little more complex as there is a pump, run by electricity and a unit rather than a cistern and pipes, of course blockages can occur in the small pipes too. So in short, it’s best to call a specialist Saniflo engineer to resolve any blockages to your Saniflo toilet.
